HOW TO JOIN
You join a CRAG by letting your nearest group’s “carbon accountant†(me for now, although I’m not great at accounting – anyone interested in this position?) know and by explaining something about your living circumstances as this will affect how your CO2 is counted.
- For example, my details are:
- I live in a free-standing home with my family of 3
- Our heating is by electricity
- Our appliances all run on electricity (vs. oil, natural gas)
- 100% of our electricity is from a ‘green’ source (hydroelectric, wind, methane plant)
- I own one car which is mine
- I am the only one joining the group from my household (so far)
My ration would therefore have to cover 1/3 of the household’s emissions (no matter how much or little the others contributed to the total) and all of my car’s emissions (no matter how often others borrowed or shared my car (unless we as a group decide to track this differently).
