Can CRAG movement win £5,000 from Future Friendly Awards?

Peckham Anna

I’ve just been sent a reminder about the Future Friendly Awards – deadline 30 November 2007, with various prizes of £5,000 to develop winning projects further.

The criteria by which entrants will be judged for the Creativity category seem to me to be particularly apt to the CRAG website forum and consequently the movement as a whole: “The degree to which the piece of communication has made others think differently and the number of people who have adopted changes as a result of seing the communication”. There’s one bursary for adults under this category of £5,000.

I don’t think the other categories would be suitable for CRAGs at all.

The good news is that you only need to write a max of 50 words in response to 5 questions. Is this the sort of thing we’d want to do?

If so, who else has experience of writing grant applications or similar or is interested in writing for this? I’m very happy to work together with a few others to put something together.

See: http://www.futurefriendly.co.uk/enterCreativity.php

Finally, can I make a somewhat unusual request that, given this is an on-line * competition * that we don’t use this forum to discuss the strategy we might adopt in relation to our entry? [Feel free to shoot me down in flames if this is inimicable to the CRAG spirit!]

Best wishes

Anna – We should definitely enter! Happy to help, and to discuss on private thread (though never sure how it works) or email group with other people interested in collaborating.
