Finance & other deals to get home renewables installed

Thread started on 26/2/2010 17:21

Rick M

On 1/2/10 the Department of Energy & Climate Change (DECC) announced the final details of the “Feed in Tariffs” scheme for home renewable electricity generators [1] and already a company called A Shade Greener are looking to install solar PV on 2000 suitable homes in my area in return for the occupants getting free use of the electricity generated [2]. For CRAGgers without substantial savings but with an unshaded south facing roof, this may look like a good deal, but I’ve created this thread for interested parties to post details of alternatives for comparison. This thread is also likely to be relevant to equipment installed under the proposed Renewable Heating Incentive out for public consultation until 26/4/10 and planned for introduction from April 2011 [3].
