Just to clarify, there is no funding to do the renovation but they do arrange for coach loads of people to troop through your living room to look at your internal wall insulation. J

Subject: I wonder if you can help?
I wonder if you could help with the following project? You may have a suitable home yourself, know of others who do, or be able to forward this email to other people. If you want more information please feel free to contact me.
Do you have an Old Home? Is it a SuperHome?
Two national charities have joined together in a project to find and promote exemplar properties throughout the country. These are homes which have been fully renovated to improve their energy efficiency and are now able to show an average 60% carbon saving.
The project aims to make these houses accessible to the public by assisting with Open House Days. These days allow the general public to tour the properties to investigate the measures taken. They work to show other householders how to replicate the techniques and inspire them to make the changes to their own dwellings.
For those householders who do not feel able to open their homes there is also the option of a Virtual Open House Day by means of a video fly through.
So, could your home be a SuperHome? More information can be found on the website http://www.s-ea.org.uk where you can also view homes which have already joined the project.
