Welcome to CRAGs – a growing network of carbon conscious citizens.
The impacts of climate change demand a serious programme of greenhouse gas emissions reduction, and we urge governments to adopt a universal and equitable framework to achieve this.
CRAGs implement this approach at a community level. By forming local groups to support and encourage one another in reducing our carbon footprints. Sharing knowledge and skills in low carbon living and moving our emissions towards a globally equitable, sustainable level.
In the first year the first CRAGS beat their targets by 29% and are setting tougher targets for themselves this year.
Groups can be formed anywhere, within a community or work group, around a Tenants management committee or those who already meet in societies or faith groups. Anywhere where there is a need to support each other towards more sustainable personal emissions and helping plan for a lower carbon future.
