Bugs

This is the summary page for the bugs tag, but there are also lists of other bugs wikipages, as well as of forum posts and files.

Please add any bugs you find here. Development ideas go to Ideas.

functionality

  • “latest” page needs to show page updates, as well as latest comments (filed at http://drupal.org/node/132255) unecessary
  • files should have a body field, with input filters
  • when logging in to make a comment, redirects to “page not found”, not the comment form (now redirects to node, not appropriate comment form: hash in “#comment_form” had been escaped and redirects to “page not found”)
  • tag links should link into “latest” view, not old topics browser
  • “add new image” links to album, not individual photo
  • forum “all” still retains the tag selection

  • “body: “ shows up on file nodes
  • RSS feed does not reflect latest forum posts
  • files do not open directly, but have to be saved to disk first (IE only) (see http://drupal.org/node/93787)
  • normal users can set node audience despite this setting being turned off
  • in moderation flag has no effect on editing rights
  • login from profile page redirects to ‘node/’
  • login from browse leaves lhs block display

  • “body:” is displayed not hidden

  • tag presence/absence is not consistent (e.g. for files, resources>minutes does not show, whereas footprinting>electricity does)
  • threads, files, images etc. tabs should be more clear (add icons)
  • validation error prevents updates on some pages (Cotswolds)
  • og admin needs to be tied to “CRAG admin” core role
  • groups navigation end link (eg York) needs to disappear at end

layout & visual

  • why, what … tabs displaced downwards (IE) or upwards (Safari) (checked on ff2 and ie6, needs further checking)

editing and adding to thread headers and tags

Jessica

Jessica

david – you know i’m not very good at this stuff, so please tell me if we already have these functions! and how i do them…

1. can we change thread headers? eg, when a thread starts off as one thing but then becomes a wider discussion, can we change the headline to signal this?

2. and can we also add new tags to signify that the thread has touched on other issues?

3. also, when i comment on a thread, can i add different tags to it, so that it may appear in different areas than the orginal comment?

many thanks!

Jessica R

You can change thread titles and add new tags (by clicking the “edit” tab), but it needs to a thread you started if you are not an admin (would you like to be one?). I generally don’t change titles because that could break links to the thread (i.e. when you enclose the title in double square brackets), but adding new tags is a good idea.

3. also, when i comment on a thread, can i add different tags to it, so that it may appear in different areas than the orginal comment?

Unfortunately, you can’t add tags separately to comments. They are all attached to the thread and can’t (as far as I know) be treated as separate entities.
