Hi Guys!
Just wanted to let you all know Atlanta, GA had its first meeting, 11 members attended and not bad for Easter weekend!we have total of 14 so far.
The meeting went well ,introductions, what Crag was about,discussing Rationing and reduction of carbons etc..
We decided to meet next week to really look at our carbon footprint and then only we can figure out our cap!
The first meeting was positive and encouraging.We had 4 young members,Rishi,Natasha ,Ian and Nick…all students from 10-17 yrs of age. and they talked about getting a group together for students and youths!they are talking about getting a meeting after school etc.wow! how wonderful to get the youths going on this!Thats where I feel its needs to be encouraged and Crag to our Kids ,as it effects them directly.
But wow! today..I was going to town and entered a centre a friend of mine had told me about..5 miles away from my home! hidden away..i drove in to the drive and found out its my counties…www. GWiNNETT Enviromental and Heritage Center.com
its a wonderful center with green roof and sustainable and Eco friendly,A wondeful centre.
We are as Crag members invited to host and be prestent for thier Earth day event on April 19th ..The Lady I talked to was very happy, as the center encourages looking at Carbon foot print and its awareness.I look forward to it and how wonderful to have my first public meeting in a event like this!
