1. Settling up – Monday 11 June.
As you know, we decided that we would settle up our carbon accounts after the first six months. Our carbon year began on 1 December 2006, so the last day of the six months is 31 May 2007!
I propose a meeting for Mon 11 June for the settling up. This should give us all time to get our meter readings, car miles, public transport sums all done and to input them into the carbon calculator to produce a 6 months’ footprint. And please bring your cheque books…! We can talk more about what to do with the money at the meeting.
Please have logged your new footprint on the carbon calculator site by close of Friday 8 June at the latest – otherwise John won’t be able to come up with the calculations of our debits and credits!
Please RSVP to let me know if you can or cannot come to this meeting. Please try and make it a priority, and I think it’s really important that as many of us are there as possible. If the date looks bad, I will change it.
2. Optional iCRAG meeting – Monday 14 May – please come if you would like.
John, Guy and I have agreed to meet on Monday 14 May to talk about making plans for publicising iCRAG and spreading the news about CRAGs. We propose that, rather than try to significantly add to iCRAG (although we are still open to new members who wish to join for the next six months), we should consolidate iCRAG as it is and instead be encouraging new people to start their own CRAGs.
We feel that, at this early stage, CRAGs will work best as small units where people know each other, and that we should be promoting their spread as far as possible. We propose that, instead of having a formal launch for iCRAG, as we have formerly considered, we take the news about CRAGs round to other existing community groups, starting with ‘warm’ ones, and try to inspire their members to start their own CRAGs. We think this would be the most effective way of spreading CRAGs.
We propose that we put together a presentation about CRAGs, using iCRAGs as an example, and hold a couple of events to which we invite other eco and community groups to meet with us to listen and discuss, and/ or we seek to be invited to other groups’ meetings to give our presentation. We will put together a list of likely groups whom we could target. We also need to think about publicity, press releases etc
If you’d like to come on Monday, please let me know and I’ll tell you the venue. Sorry for short notice. If you can’t come, please email me with your views on these proposals and/ or the names of any groups which you are connected with or know of whom you think we could approach to tell them about CRAGs.
3. Action points from previous meetings.
Please could you check the last couple of meeting minutes and get back to me re any actions which you volunteered for. If you are no longer able to complete these actions, please could you let me know?
Many thanks.

Apologies

Sorry, I can’t make the Monday 11th June meeting and I am behind with my calculations. Is there a date for the next main meeting?
