Some people on this forum may know me. For those who don’t my name is Stephen Taylor. I am involved with the local Friends of the Earth group in Islington and, to a lesser extent, ICAG. For some time now I have been in discussions with John A re setting up a second CRAG in Islington, and I have finally got around to doing something about it.
If people would like to get involved in this new CRAG I have suggested an inaugural meeting on Thursday 4th October at 8pm, venue tbc but likely to be a pub.
The format would be very similar to the current Islington CRAG and John has agreed to come along to the first meeting to share some of his experiences of setting up the first group.
I have been keen to set up a second group in Islington since the earlier group was founded last year (almost exactly a year ago). Ultimately I would love to see lots of little groups all over the borough making a difference.
If others would like to join me on the 4th October please let me know. You can email me direct at sltaylor001@yahoo.co.uk.
Best wishes
Stephen

CRAG2 Meeting postponed, r u one of the 23 lurkers?
john ackers
Just to say that this meeting was postponed. So far we have about 6 people for another CRAG and we really need at least ten. And we should be able to get ten as there are 33 people registered with ‘Islington’. 10 of the 33 are already in the first CRAG so that leaves about 23 people subscribed to this group who aren’t in any CRAG.
If you are one of those 23 people, can you just drop a comment below or email Stephen (address above) to let us know that a) you want to join a CRAG but not right now b) you want to talk more about it c) you don’t live in North London d) you don’t live in the UK e) you think it is a great idea and that everybody should join a crag apart from yourself.
We really do want to hear from people that are sitting on the sidelines. What do we need to do to get you involved? Have you considered starting another CRAG in North London with your own friends?
