Hi, if anyone had any advice on this that’d be great!
Our boiler has just expired and would take £350 to revive.. Noone knows how old it is, as our house was bought 3 years ago and the boiler was in the house.. I can’t even find any information on the type..
Does anyone know: – How much of a difference does it make to have a new efficient one? – How much/which is the cheapest efficient one? (we’re an ethically minded but pretty poor housing coop and we need a new roof too!) – How much/which is a super-efficient one?
Ta!

Hi Despina
If your existing boiler needs that much work to repair it, probably worth looking at a new condensing boiler (assuming yours isn’t that type!). For more info try http://www.energysavingtrust.org.uk/home_improvements/heating_and_hot_wa…
I don’t know if any grants towards the cost are available, from a quick search on the web, some local authorities do, but Leeds doesn’t seem to be one of them.
Cheers
