Hi and welcome to everyone who has found this site via the BBC online news pages. A lot of you are asking if we know of any CRAGgers or potential CRAGgers in your area.

Best advice we can give is:

if you cannot see a group local to you on the groups page, try posting a message on this forum saying where you are and what you would like to do.

If you are really keen and want to start a new CRAG straight away, email the website and we can set you up a local CRAG page.

Please also note that there are certain established Craggers around the country willing to travel to give talks, help out with setting up a CRAG and so on! Simply post a thread with a request, or email the website through the Contact page.

HI I live a shared house

I live a shared house (total 3 )and only one of us owns a car(not me!!!) We have already started rationing on heating and local travel. We go communal shopping. We dont watch TV, but have three laptops and a desktop amongst us. We watch the TV(for a short time) on the internet(desktop). The laptops are shut while we watch the PC and switch off the cables to the accessories before we retire to bed. I am keen to do more and reduce my carbon footprint. I am also a keen waste recycler.
Please let me know if there are any like minded individuals in and around Luton so that we could start a local CRAG in Luton.

Social networking. CRAGs don’t form easily at the moment. We need to look at ways people can register with a site and stumble upon others that live near by, or work in the same building and that they like and could potentially form a CRAG. We might want bring people together that that have the same issues, high heating costs, a long commute to work, tortuous school run, low carbon long distance travel. Or we might simply want to bring people together that have similar footprints. Or we might want to allow people to search for potential matching CRAGgers in their area. We can learn a lot from that carbon free space, facebook.
