August meeting?

Hi all,

do we have a confirmed time and date for the August meeting? I thought it might be the 12th or 13th or 19th or 20th?

Apologies for not noting it down at the time.

Rachel, did you have that list of summer fairs?

I have just got a printer at home, so might do some small flyers for when passing by organic cafes, in meetings etc.

And, have just buzzed Growing Communities again – was waiting to hear back re: including in their newsletter.

All good, speak soon,

Andrew

August meeting?

HI Guys,
There is a Tower Hamlets Green Drinks scheduled for Wed 20th August, so in theory we could have a CRAG meeting before this. However its unlikely I can attend either as I’m booked in for an operation on Mon 18th August so will be recuperating. Its up to you whether you want to go ahead.

The other thing is I think we need to find a more suitable venue. As lovely as the Camel is – its noisy and cramped! Plus I think a move away from a pure pub environment would be more appropriate in terms of allowing non drinkers to participate. Thoughts?

Forthcoming potential events for us to attend for more recruiting are;

Friday 8 August
12 – 8 p.m. Underage Festival, Victoria Park
(a paying event)

St Barnabas’ Fair – 6th September
Wennington Green, grove Rd E3 (was nice, went last year)

Spitalfields Show & Green Fair – 14th September 2008

Finally, some CRAGs are doing a half yearly ‘settlement’ i.e round up of emissions from first half of year. Shall we do the same? If so our 6 months falls on 1st October. See Islington threads for more info;

Cheers All.

August meeting

Hi all,

Oli, Rachel and I had a quick exchange via email re: the next meeting.

The week of the 18th August seemed like a good time for our next meeting, specifically Wed the 20th.

And, there was suggestion of meeting at an alternative venue – Leon at Spitalfields markets, or Cafe 1001 Brick Lane, or Departure cafe (http://www.depart.in/) on Commercial Rd near Limehouse (highly recommend this place, open ‘til 11pm).

Can we all make that date?

And do people have preferences for the venue?

Andrew
