Dear friends and colleagues,
I am writing to you on behalf of the Low Carbon
Communities Network to invite you to participate in
the largest gathering so far of transition / low
carbon projects in the UK.
The Low Carbon Communities Conference will be held on
Saturday 4th October 2008 at The Royal International
Pavilion, Llangollen, Debighshire LL20 8SW Funded by
Artists Project Earth and The Converging World we are
able to provide free places to individuals and
community groups working on carbon reduction projects.
The Organising Committee is made up of some of the
most inspiring and committed organisations and
individuals working on this issue (eg Climate Outreach
Information Network, Transition Network, The
Converging World, Mark Lynas, Penney Poyzer and
George Marshall). The LCCN formed earlier this year
and our aims can be found on our website. You will
also find a link there to all the community groups
who already support our aims.
We invite you to join us and share stories of
inspiration and action from Wales, Scotland and
England. Pre registration is essential as places are
limited (almost half are already filled – even before
we have started full scale publicity – word of mouth
recommendations has led to a large number of early
bookings).
I have attached a draft conference programme which
contains details of workshops, seminars, contact and
booking information. You can also find full details on
our website www.low.communitycarbon.net
If you would like more information you can find full
contact details on the attached word document or by
clicking on the contact us tab on the website.
I do hope you will consider joining us, and passing
this email on to your friends and contacts if you
think they would find it of interest.
Kind regards
Tracey Todhunter
