Getting changes in the economic framework, like the high feed-in payments for electricity from home generation systems that they have in Germany would help a lot! Likewise, a Netherlands-style infrastructure for cycling in cities. But I suppose those are dependent on political will and popular support for *real* measures to make a major impact on our national carbon footprint, both of which seem to be sadly lacking. |
